16 Starts. 16 Finishes. Lindblad’s Rookie Run Has Just One Precedent Since 2010.
Only Max Chilton has taken an unbroken run of classified finishes further into his debut season in this period. Lindblad has also matched Norris and Piastri’s rookie totals of 11 Grand Prix points finishes.
Results through Singapore, October 11, 2026. Comparisons cover drivers who made their Grand Prix debut from 2010 onward and count only their first season. Sprints excluded.
Arvid Lindblad’s 15th place in Singapore brought no points. It did keep something much rarer intact.
Sixteen Grand Prix starts into his rookie season, the Racing Bulls driver has been classified every time.
Among drivers who debuted since 2010, only Max Chilton reached that point in his first season without an unclassified result. Chilton went on to complete all 19 Grands Prix in 2013.
Lindblad hasn’t completed his season yet. But his finishing record already puts him in unusually small company.
Only Chilton went further
The longest opening runs of classified Grand Prix finishes within a debut season since 2010 are:
Max Chilton, 2013: 19.
Arvid Lindblad, 2026: 16, ongoing.
Felipe Nasr, 2015: 15.
George Russell, 2019: 14.
Mick Schumacher, 2021: 14.
These are consecutive classifications from each driver’s first start, not their total finishes across the season.
There had been 17 Grands Prix through Singapore, but Lindblad didn’t start in Canada. That leaves him with 16 starts and 16 classified finishes.
Three more would match the 19 Chilton achieved across his entire rookie season.
Already level with Norris and Piastri
Finishing consistently is one achievement. Turning those finishes into points gives Lindblad’s season another dimension.
Eleven of his 16 starts have produced points. Since F1 introduced its top-10 Grand Prix scoring structure in 2010, the leading debut-season totals are:
Kimi Antonelli, 2025: 14 Grand Prix points finishes.
Alex Albon, 2019: 13.
Kevin Magnussen, 2014: 12.
Arvid Lindblad, 2026: 11, ongoing.
Lando Norris, 2019: 11.
Oscar Piastri, 2023: 11.
Lindblad has already matched Norris and Piastri’s completed rookie-season totals. One more scoring finish would draw him level with Magnussen, while three would match Antonelli.
These numbers count races in which a driver scored, rather than the points earned. Each scoring finish contributes one to the total.
More than just making the finish
Lindblad scored on debut with eighth in Australia. Sixth in Monaco remains his best result, while seventh at Silverstone and Baku added six points each.
His Grand Prix results have earned 37 points. One additional point from the Canada Sprint brings his championship total to 38.
The comparisons reflect different cars, calendar lengths and reliability records. They don’t establish who had the best rookie season.
But Lindblad has combined something rare with something useful: an unbroken classification record and repeated points finishes.
At Austin, he can take another step toward Chilton’s finishing benchmark and move beyond the rookie-season scoring totals Norris and Piastri achieved.
