14 Hungaroring Wins, Double Its Nearest Rivals

Lando Norris’s 2026 victory raised McLaren’s Hungarian Grand Prix total to 14 wins. Ferrari and Williams remain tied for second with seven each, giving McLaren exactly double either rival’s total.

Norris’s latest win continued McLaren’s recent control of the event. Oscar Piastri won in 2024 before Norris followed with victories in 2025 and 2026, giving McLaren three consecutive Hungarian Grand Prix wins.

SUCCESS ACROSS MULTIPLE ERAS

McLaren’s Hungaroring success stretches from Ayrton Senna’s first victory for the team in 1988 through the eras of Mika Häkkinen, Kimi Räikkönen, Lewis Hamilton, Heikki Kovalainen and Jenson Button.

Eight different McLaren drivers have contributed to the record, with Piastri and Norris adding the three most recent victories.

The current streak also matches McLaren’s run from 2007 through 2009, when Hamilton won twice with Kovalainen taking the victory between them.
