Lando Norris completed Zandvoort’s six-race pole-to-win sweep and claimed back-to-back Grand Prix victories as Max Verstappen crashed out and Ferrari fell just short of the podium.

THE PATTERN HELD TO THE END

Lando Norris ensured Zandvoort’s modern Formula 1 era ended with a perfect six-race pole-to-win streak.

Norris led from the original start, but lost first place to Kimi Antonelli following the red-flag restart. He recovered to pass the Mercedes around the outside of Turn 1 on Lap 54 before clearing Lewis Hamilton later that lap and reclaiming the lead.

The McLaren driver finished 11.536 seconds ahead of Antonelli, with George Russell completing the podium.

MAX’S HOME FINALE ENDS ON LAP ONE

Max Verstappen’s final home Grand Prix ended before he completed the opening lap.

The Red Bull driver lost control on the damp inside line through Zandvoort’s banked final corner and hit the barriers heavily. The crash brought out the red flag, but Verstappen confirmed afterward that he was okay.

It was a sudden end to a difficult weekend for the three-time Dutch Grand Prix winner.

FERRARI CLOSE—BUT NOT CLEAN

Hamilton and Charles Leclerc both had the pace to pressure Russell for the final podium position, but Ferrari’s second pit-stop sequence cost valuable time.

Leclerc stayed out after the initial call to pit, stopped one lap later and returned to the track following a slow stop while Hamilton waited behind. Ferrari recovered to finish fourth and fifth, with Hamilton only 0.849 seconds behind Russell and Leclerc another 0.503 seconds back.

For Norris, the victory completed consecutive wins in Hungary and the Netherlands—and closed Zandvoort’s six-race modern run without a single winner starting anywhere other than pole.
